Tim Tebow Day

Friday, January 6th, 2012

It matters not to me that you are a fan of his on the field. It matters not to me if you are a Denver fan. It matters not to me that you are an NFL fan.

What does matter is that you respect Tim Tebow for standing tall in his faith.

Too many Christians, for far too long, have been far too quite about their faith. As a result our country has slipped further and further from God. Our society has become so liberal that things that were unthinkable for me as a child have now become common. I blame me and other quite Christians who have sat of the sidelines and watched our country decay and decline. We know the truth but we don’t speak up and we don’t live our faith everyday, everyplace.

Tim Tebow has a right to live his faith and be as bold as he wishes. He has not broken a law, he has not broken an NFL rule. He boldly goes where we should all be going. He stands for God and for Godly principals. And for that, we should all be his # 1-fan.

Are we going to sit by and watch him be drug through the mud or are we going to speak up? Are you going to speak up?

So, if you agree with me I would encourage you to do three things today.  First, send this blog to everyone you know and ask them to read it and do then do the same thing. Retweet it, talk about it on Facebook. Be vocal! Second, send it to the local media and tell them you agree and you don’t want to hear anymore negative stories about Tim Tebow.

Third, sign up to follow Tim Tebow and encourage him to be strong in the Lord. http://twitter.com/timtebow

Stand up and be heard. Do something that matters today.

Twice a year, I get rid of all emails that I have somehow started receiving whether I actually signed up for them or not. I unsubscribe to EVERYTHING that is not helpful or useful. Do it today.

YOP Part 2

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

Mark Batterson is calling 2012 the Year of Prayer.  His new book, The Circle Maker is a life changing book because it has such a strong powerful message about prayer.  It encourages one to pray like no other book I have ever read.

I am calling it the YOP because I think God is going to use The Circle Maker to cause a revival of millions of Christians around the world. The revival will start as a prayer revival but I see it becoming much, much stronger. I see the YOP causing a genuine revival in America and perhaps around the world as men and women get excited about their faith and get committed to the causes of our Lord. I am praying for revival.

YOP

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

Below I have copied Mark Batterson’s blog for you. There could be no more fitting way than to spend 2012 in prayer.  Please read Mark’s comments.

It’s official. 2012 is the Year of Prayer. I’m so excited to see what God will do if we devote ourselves to seeking His heart in prayer!  It’s not about our agenda for God. It’s about surrendering to His agenda for us.  Those are two very different things.

What would happen if we work like it depends on us and pray like it depends on God?  What would happen if we dream big, pray hard, and think long?  What would happen if we get in the prayer circle and don’t come out until God answers?

I want to find out.

God honors bold prayers because bold prayers honor God.

YOP.
